Audio to MIDI Tool

Try it now! ↗️
Audio to MIDI turns a recording into a MIDI file by detecting every note, its timing, and velocity. Hum a melody, drop in a vocal line, or upload an instrument loop — Vocuno extracts a clean MIDI you can drag into any DAW.

How to use it

Drop in audio (MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, Opus, AIFF) or record live in the browser. Vocuno runs Spotify’s Basic-Pitch model directly in your browser — no upload needed, no server roundtrip — and returns a MIDI file plus an interactive piano roll preview.

What you get

The output is a standard .mid file with detected pitches, durations, and velocities, plus a count of total notes detected. Download it and drag straight into Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, or any DAW to drive a synth, sampler, or virtual instrument.

Frequently asked questions

Monophonic input (one note at a time) — humming, whistling, single-instrument lines. Polyphonic chords work but can produce noisier output.
No — Basic-Pitch runs entirely in your browser, so the audio never gets uploaded to a server.
Yes — preview it on the piano roll in Vocuno, then download and edit freely in your DAW.
Audio to MIDI runs locally and doesn’t consume Vocuno credits.
