Add Instrumental is the mirror of Add Vocals: you bring a vocal recording and Vocuno builds the band around it. Your original recording stays in every result, mixed on top of the new instrumental.

Inputs

  • Your vocal: upload a file, record directly in the browser, or import from your library.
  • Title: optional, up to 100 characters.
  • Instrumental Style: describe what you want, for example “lo-fi beats”, “orchestral strings” or “trap 140 bpm”.
  • Suno options: negative tags, number of variations, and sliders for style weight, weirdness and audio weight.

What you get

Each take is its own card in your library. Its side panel has two rows: Full song (your vocal on the new instrumental) and Instrumental (the backing on its own). Open a finished take to fine-tune it:
  • Switch between Use My Vocals and Use AI Vocals.
  • Mute, Solo or change the volume of each track.
  • Use Adjust timing to line your vocal up with the beat, then Save version to render a new mastered mix.
  • Download the full song or the instrumental (paid plans).
In the side panel, Advanced output lets you preview the new beat under your vocal, download the stems, or download a WAV. Open in Studio loads your vocal next to the new beat so you can edit by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Clean, dry vocal recordings work best. The cleaner the input, the better the instrumental follows your phrasing.
With the Vocuno engine, recordings must be between 6 seconds and 4 minutes. The length is checked before you upload, and nothing is charged. Your recording is never trimmed, because the whole vocal is mixed back on top.
Yes, with the Vocuno engine. Vocals that match a released song still get two full instrumentals built around them.
No. A run costs 50 credits whichever engine you pick and however many Suno variations you ask for.
