# Promote a release

> Book a Vocuno Promotion playlist campaign for a live Spotify track, and send your release story to the stores with Marketing Drivers.

The **Promotion** tab in [Distribution](https://vocuno.com/distribution) has two ways to help a release find listeners: **Vocuno Promotion**, a paid playlist campaign for a live Spotify track, and **Marketing Drivers**, a free form that sends your release story to the stores.

## Vocuno Promotion

Vocuno Promotion is organic playlist outreach for your Spotify track. Our team reviews your music by hand, then pitches it to independent curators whose playlists fit your genre. Each campaign is a one-time purchase.

## Marketing Drivers

Marketing Drivers sends your release story to the stores, which helps their editorial teams understand your release. It is free and works per release.

1. On the **Promotion** tab, click **Prepare** next to a release (or **Edit** to change saved details).
2. Choose the **Focus track** and answer **What's the story?**
3. Add similar artists, moods, song characteristics, and song styles.
4. Under **Marketing details**, tick only activities you have already planned, such as press, shows, videos, ads, or radio. You can add an optional attachment.
5. Click **Save for approval**.

You can prepare the form before your release is approved. Vocuno saves it and delivers it automatically once the release is approved. Its status shows that it is saved and waiting for release approval, then **Queued for delivery**, then **Delivered**. If something needs fixing, it shows **Needs your attention**. Use **Cancel pending delivery** to stop it before it goes out.

<Info>
  Marketing Drivers sends release information only. It never buys ads or starts paid marketing.
